As a Sixth Form student hoping to apply to Biomedical Sciences, I was so lucky to have the opportunity to work with Charlotte at the Crick Institute during her PhD. This was such a valuable experience in confirming my desire to study biomed and showing me what the day-to-day life of a scientist is like. Charlotte patiently showed me how to use new and exciting techniques, while taking the time to ensure I understood exactly what we were doing and why. Since this work experience, Charlotte has supported me through my successful undergraduate application to Oxford University, and inspired me to undertake a PhD. More recently, Charlotte helped me with advice throughout my PhD applications, which was invaluable in preparing for interviews. I am excited to begin my PhD this year and hopefully follow in her footsteps. Charlotte is a brilliant scientist and I am so grateful for all of the input she has had in my academic career so far.
